Bollywood fans have reason to celebrate as the much-anticipated thriller featuring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan, finally has a title. HT City has exclusively confirmed that the film has been titled Haiwaan, which translates to ‘beast’ in English.
According to an industry insider, the title perfectly encapsulates the tone and intensity of the story. “The team felt Haiwaan best represents the subject and matches Priyadarshan’s vision of an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Although other titles were considered, this one resonated the most with the story and the lead characters,” the source revealed.
This film will mark a reunion for Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, who were last seen together in the 2008 action film Tashan. Their return to the screen together has already generated significant buzz among audiences.
The shoot for Haiwaan is expected to begin in August 2025, with a theatrical release planned for next year.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar recently wrapped up filming for Bhooth Bangla, also directed by Priyadarshan. Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the thriller Jewel Thief.
With a gripping title and an exciting cast-director combination, Haiwaan is poised to become one of the most talked-about releases of the coming year.
